Books on Wheels Events in January 2023

Overview:

Representatives from Physician practices, SOMOS Innovation, and Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield engaged with parents and children in physician offices, offering face painting as well as distribution of books and tote bags. This collaboration was aimed at raising literacy in communities that may have limited access to reading materials, in addition to offering free information on preventive care, health benefits, and access to one of our primary care physicians.

If you are interested in coordinating an event in your practice, please contact the SOMOS Innovation Community Events team- Community Events Coordinator- Samira Almonte salmonte@somosipa.com or Manager- Sally Quinn, squinn@somosipa.com.
